Week of April 25-29Week of April 25-29

Highlights of the week:

In addition to activities that you saw in the photos for the week, this week we also began working on a new writing project, that of writing a How To Book! We also spent some time this week working on gifts for our kindergarten Mothers for the Mother’s Tea on Tuesday, May 3rd at 1:45-2:30. Thank you in advance for contributing food, drinks and supplies for this happy, fun occasion! The kindergarteners are very excited to celebrate their Mothers! This Tuesday also, in the morning,  we will have a representative from Bicycle Safety Town. She will introduce the children to bike safety rules as well as the features of Bike Safety Town! The Kindergarteners will be going to bike safety town later in the month on May 19th. This week I also introduced the children to a highly regarded Australian picture-book author, Mem Fox. I read her Possum Magic book as well as Koala Lou. After reading and talking about the books, we looked up Australia on the globe and noted its distance from the United States.
