Letter from the Principal

Letter from the Principal

275A0961 Enhanced NR 2Dear Ridge Learning Community,

My name is Jill Doles, and I am honored to serve as your principal. This is my fourth year as an administrator in our incredible school district, and I am excited to begin this new chapter with the Ridge community. Prior to this role, I had the privilege of serving as the assistant principal at Brentwood Elementary.  I have always admired the passion and dedication of the Ridge staff, and I am thrilled to now officially be part of the team.

As an educator first and foremost, I believe deeply in the power of strong school and family partnerships and open, effective communication. These foundations are essential to meeting the needs of all students and ensuring their success both in and out of the classroom. My commitment is to continue nurturing an inclusive and supportive school culture where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for over 20 years, with advanced degrees in both administration and reading instruction. I bring a strong background in literacy interventions and student centered leadership to my role here at Ridge. Alongside our dedicated teachers and staff, I am committed to continuing Ridge’s legacy of excellence by preparing students for future success through strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners.

At Ridge, we believe in educating the whole child. This means supporting students’ academic growth, social emotional development, and character building through meaningful and rigorous learning experiences that connect to real-world applications. We are committed to delivering a rigorous and engaging core curriculum that is grounded in equity and driven by purpose. In addition to academic excellence, we will model and teach the importance of kindness, dignity, and respect. These values are essential to fostering a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

To our students: I cannot wait to welcome you back to school. I hope you are as excited as I am for the year ahead. We are going to have a great time learning together, expanding our minds, growing friendships, and developing strong character.

I look forward to working closely with our families to help every child at Ridge reach their full potential. Together, we will make this a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and joy.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jill Doles
